For this recipe, we will be using both the stovetop and oven.
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and in the center position place a rack.
Season the salmon with salt and pepper.
Take an oven-safe pan and heat it on high for 2 minutes.
Coat the pan with oil making sure that the bottom of the pan is full of oil.
When the oil is hot enough introduce the salmon to the oil. You want to hear the sizzling noise which ensures the oil is hot enough so that the salmon cooks properly.

When you have achieved the golden crispy skin you should flip the fish and let it sear for one minute.
Time to transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake it for 10 minutes. This depends on the thickness of the salmon.
You are now ready to serve, turn off the oven when you are done.
If you have a grill handy then you can follow this cooking method.
Let’s begin by cleaning the grill and then spraying the grill with the oil.
Preheat the grill to about 400 degrees.

Cook the fish for 6 minutes on each side.
