Cook time: 50 minutes.
Cool time: 8 hours.
Total time: 9 hours 50 minutes.
Tres Leches Cake Ingredients
- 1 package of cake mix, white or yellow
- 4 whole eggs
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 stick butter, melted and cooled
- ¼ teaspoon of vanilla essence
Coquito Topping Ingredients
- 1 can La Lechera sweet condensed milk
- ⅔ cup of Carnation evaporated milk
- ½ cup of coconut milk
- ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
Topping
- 1 bag of shredded coconut,
- 1 container of whipped topping
- 1 jar of maraschino cherries

You need to start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl add the cake mix, eggs, whole milk, and melted butter with vanilla. Star mixing the batter on medium and then slowly mix it properly.

Before taking out the cake, the next day you need to make the topping. In a pan, toast the coconut at medium heat. This process will take no more than 5 minutes. When one side is sufficiently light browned then turn it and make the whole thing brown.
