Necessary Ingredients For Preparing Causa

How To Cook Traditional Causa

✅ Step 1 – Make Fillings of Causa

Before making the potato smash, you have to prepare the fillings. So that you can easily use it at the right time. So, it’s to make the fillings portion of the Cause. So choose your favorite fish or meat. For example, you have chosen tuna.

So prepare the tuna with a combination of tomato, avocado, onions, and lime juice. You can also add some salt and peppers. Now keep this on freeze until the potato is ready.

✅ Step 2 – Prepare The Potato

We know that our main ingredient is potato. So first, you need to boil the potato in salt water. When the potatoes become properly boiled and soft, take them from the bowl. You need to wait for some time. Because potatoes are still hot.

Now peel the skin from the potato and clean it in normal water. You have to prepare the potato smash. So take a medium size bowl. Keep the boiled potato on it. Add necessary ingredients like vegetable oil, salt, peppers, and aji amarillo paste. You need to mix all the ingredients appropriately. Your potato mash is ready.

For making the Causa you need a casserole dish. Because you have to make 3 different layers. Now fill up the bottom layer(⅓) of the dish with mashed potato. In the middle layer(⅔), you need to fill it with previously made tuna fillings. The final should be the same as the first one.

However, you can include boiled eggs and coriander leaves in the upper portion.
